Hi, I'm Emily! Welcome to The Thirsty Baker, where I combine my love of baking with my love for community. From a young age I’ve had a passion for baking, even working at a caramel apple and belgian chocolate shop in high school. It was there where I saw firsthand the joy that confectionery brings to people. Because of this, in college I made the decision to build my career in the food industry, specifically baking. I got my degree in engineering, started working for a candy company, and in 2022 built The Thirsty Baker out of my kitchen! The Thirsty Baker is a woman-owned small business located in Jersey City, New Jersey making small batch homemade gourmet brownies . Throughout my life I’ve craved a strong sense of community, and I know that nothing brings people together like good food, good drink, and good conversation. The Thirsty Baker started out as brownies made in my apartment, and will eventually grow into a physical storefront that combines all of these things - indulgent desserts, well-crafted cocktails, and gatherings and events that reflect the community. The Thirsty Baker represents a comfortable and safe place for people to come together over delicious desserts and drinks.​ Visit Us!

Please contact us with any questions/concerns. / LOCAL PICK UP & DELIVERY Pre-order is available for pick up at one of our Jersey City Area Farmer's Markets, or local delivery to Jersey City & Hoboken. After you place your order online, I will contact you to confirm pick up location & date. **Local delivery will be every Saturday afternoon for standard orders** **Pick up is only available at our current market locations** If you choose local pick up, but are unable to pick up at one of these locations, or your order will be refunded.

Yes! We accept custom orders of all of our out-of-stock flavors with a minimum order quantity of 8 brownies. For custom orders & events, we require 50% payment up front, and 50% upon delivery. Are your gluten free brownies made in a gluten free kitchen? No. While we do thoroughly clean in between baking our gluten free brownies and our other flavors (like we do for all allergens), they are all made in the same kitchen, and we never want to hide that from our customers.
